I am Deputy Director at Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association (ZELA) www.zela.org . I am responsible for programme design, fundraising and function as head of operations. I am also the global Coordinator of the Kimberley Process Civil Society Coalition that monitors trade of conflict diamonds around the world. I hold a Masters in Law (LLM) in Constitutional and Human Rights Law from Midlands State University and a Bachelor of Laws Honours (LLBS) Degree from the University of Zimbabwe. I am registered with the High Court of Zimbabwe as a legal practitioner, notary public and conveyancer. With over 19 years working experience in the extractive sector, mining and natural resources sector, I have gained extensive research and advocacy skills on artisanal and small-scale mining, diamond mining and trade, responsible sourcing of minerals from conflict affected and high-risk areas, mining contract monitoring and negotiation, human rights, extractive industries, water resources management, intellectual property rights and farmer's rights.
