This session will focus on the good practice of regional cooperation in the Mano River Union (Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire) on the implementation of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) for rough diamonds. It will also examine its complementarity to the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, as well as other responsible sourcing initiatives linked to artisanal mining, such as the Maendeleo Diamond Standards (MDS).
