Description
Annie Laperle is Senior Counsel with the Department of Justice Canada, Canada Revenue Agency Legal Services Unit (CRA LSU). She was called to the bar in 2000 and is specialized in criminal law. Before joining the Department of Justice, she was a Crown prosecutor. Over the years, Annie developed an expertise on Mutual Legal Assistance in criminal matters, helping Canadian law enforcement obtaining assistance from foreign partners. Since she joined the CRA LSU in 2019, she advises the CRA Criminal Investigations Division on ongoing criminal investigations, policy, training and international assistance.
