Sarah Forza
Australian Taxation Office
Director, Serious Financial Crimes Taskforce (SFCT)
Description
Sarah currently works in the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as a Director for the Serious Financial Crimes Taskforce (SFCT). Her role includes supporting the SFCT Chief and partner agencies, managing the Memorandum of Understanding between partner agencies and the ATO, and undertaking Secretariat and governance functions for the Taskforce.
One of Sarah’s first roles after joining the ATO was actioning objections from taxpayers who were the subject of audit activity under the ATO’s Project Wickenby. Since then, Sarah has had experience leading staff working in complex risk, strategy, active compliance, and advice roles within the ATO with a particular focus on protecting the integrity of the taxation and superannuation systems against highly egregious behaviours, and working closely with co-regulators. Sarah has also worked within the Department of Treasury and the ATO to advocate for strategic change and improvements for Australia’s taxation and superannuation system, and has experience implementing new legislation and changes for industry.
