Iván Bornacelly is an analyst for the Centre of Skills at OECD. He has contributed to National Skills Strategy projects mainly in Latin American countries. He is currently involved in analyses on skill imbalances, youth’ skills and adult learning for the State government of Tlaxcala, Mexico, one of the first subnational skill strategy projects.
Ivan is an expert on big data analysis for evidence-based policy making. He has published several scientific papers and policy briefs on labour economics and education. Prior to joining the OECD, Ivan worked as research fellow to analyse skill imbalances and evaluate school to work transition policies at the Inter-American Development Bank. He worked at the World Bank and the Centre of Studies for Economic Development at Los Andes University in Colombia on applied research and policy analysis on labour economics and regional development. Ivan holds a master in Public Policy and Development from the Paris school of Economics and École Normale Supérieure, and a Master and Bachelor in Economics from Los Andes University.
