Description

Karine Perset is the administrator of the OECD’s AI Policy Observatory, in the OECD Division for Digital Economy Policy in Paris. She focuses on trends in development and diffusion of AI and on opportunities and challenges that AI raises for public policy. She manages the OECD Network of Experts on AI (ONE AI) and the OECD’s AI Policy Observatory (OECD.AI). She was previously Advisor to ICANN’s Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) and yet before was the Counsellor of the OECD’s STI Directors. Karine is a dual Franco-American citizen.

The OECD Al Systems Classification Framework: progress, challenges and way forward

Different types of AI systems raise very different policy opportunities and challenges. As part of the AI-WIPS project, the OECD’s Committee on Digital Economy Policy’s Network of Experts on AI developed a user-friendly framework to classify AI systems.
