Description
A government affair professional with more than 20 years of experience in analysing, shaping, and debating technology policy, Nicklas Lundblad currently leads DeepMind’s work on global policy and public. In addition, he is one of Google’s globally recognized “Great Managers” with experience from leading across a variety of markets.
Prior to DeepMind Nicklas Lundblad was global head of technology policy at Stripe, a payments services provider. Before joining Stripe, he spent 13 years with Google in different roles, including more than 5 years as vice president of public policy and government affairs responsible for Google’s policy work in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to Google he worked at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Furthermore, he also founded and managed a small start-up in the publishing business and in policy research.
An author, angel investor, board professional and researcher in the philosophy of technology, Nicklas Lundblad holds a PhD in Informatics from Gothenburg University, an LLM from Stockholm University and a BA in Theoretical Philosophy, also from Stockholm University. He sits on a few boards and is a 2006 Eisenhower Fellow. He has written 3 books on technology and policy and a fourth book on the philosophy of questions.
