Description
John Egan is the CEO of L’Atelier BNP Paribas, a quantitative foresight company that identifies and contextualises future market opportunities that emerge from technological and societal change.
John’s work at L’Atelier, an independent subsidiary of the BNP Paribas Group, focuses on building next-generation, AI-driven data engines and combining them with human intelligence to uncover the invisible trends that are shaping the future. Their work helps investors, multinationals and state institutions to quantitatively identify, assess and prepare for the most promising technologies years ahead of the market.
Previously, John was the CEO of the Swiss network, Sandbox, and led the institutional business of London-based venture capital firm Anthemis Group. Before joining Anthemis, John founded and sold two engineering companies and a capital markets start-up, which earned him several entrepreneurship awards.
John also has written or contributed to numerous books and reports on innovation theory and the future of retail banking published by Harriman House, Gill & McMillan and Lafferty. John has a BComm in finance from University College Dublin, MSc in econometrics from Dublin City University and LLM in European Law from King's College London.
