Lead Analyst, Rethinking Assessment of Social and Emotional Skills project
Description
Adriano Linzarini (Research and policy analyst, OECD) is the lead analyst for the OECD's Rethinking Assessment of Social and Emotional Skills project, which aims to review and develop innovative approaches to measuring these skills. He is a cognitive scientist with particular interests in developmental psychology and the impact of education on complex skills. After completing his PhD in neuroscience at the Université Paris Cité (LaPsyDé), he left France and lived in several countries, including Ghana, Denmark, Italy and Luxembourg. During these years, he worked as a consultant for UNICEF (Office of Research Innocenti) and then for UNESCO (Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development - MGIEP) on topics related to education and the developing brain, children's cognitive and non-cognitive skills and their impact on life outcomes and well-being. He was a coordinator, editor and author of the International Science and Evidence Based Education Assessment (ISEEA) report.
