Timothy DeStefano is an Associate Research Professor at Georgetown University, McDonough School of Business. He is an applied economist specializing in digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI), industrial robotics, firm productivity, and trade. His research explores how digital technologies reshape firm organization and performance through observational data and field experiments. He co-founded the AI in Action Conference Series, fostering global dialogue on the economic implications of AI. Previously, he led data science and AI research at Harvard University in the Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard (LISH) and worked as an Economist at the OECD and G20. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Nottingham.
