Currently, Jae serves as DAC Vice Chair. Previously, Jae was Director of the Development Cooperation Division at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance of the Republic of Korea. Prior to that, he worked as an official advisor to a member of the UN High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda who was the then Korean Foreign Minister. In the field, he worked as Head of Development Cooperation Section at the Korean missions in Afghanistan, Egypt and the Philippines.
Jae is the author of Green Infrastructure Financing: Institutional Investors, PPPs and Bankable Projects (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018) and Suppressing Terrorist Financing and Money Laundering (Springer, 2006).
He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Korea University, and an LL.M. and a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh.
