Mark Staples is a Senior Principal Researcher at CSIRO’s Data61 and a conjoint academic at the University of New South Wales. He leads research on regtech, blockchain, and software engineering. He has previously held software and systems engineering management roles in a range of industries. He is on the Steering Committee for Australia’s National Blockchain Roadmap, the ISO TC307 committee, and the OECD BEPAB. He has degrees from University of Queensland, and a PhD from University of Cambridge.
