Sharon leads the US Department of Education Office of Educational Technology’s higher education innovation initiatives that explore the complex ecosystem of lifelong postsecondary learning and the opportunities technology provides to broaden access to education for all learners. Most recently, these initiatives focus on open education, credential interoperability, accessible learning resources, and the Education Blockchains Initiative. Sharon also works in offices across the government on projects that showcase promising practices in digital workforce development, building capacity for emerging technologies, and data interoperability. Sharon is an aspiring park ranger.
