He contributes to the international policy work on financial innovation including decentralized finance and global stablecoins at various international fora and manages a team supporting Finance Minister for G20/G7 discussion on financial sector issues. Prior to the current position, in 2017, he was engaged in a research project on startup businesses and technological developments related to blockchain in Silicon Valley and in 2018, he was appointed as a Senior Fellow at Georgetown University's Blockchain Research Center where he led a research project on governance of decentralized finance. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from Tokyo Tech and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
