Description
Martin Peitz is Professor of Economics at the University of Mannheim and Director of the Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation. Martin has been member of the Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy (EAGCP) at the European Commission (2013-2016), an academic director of the Centre on Regulation in Europe, CERRE (2012-2016) and head of the Department of Economics (2010-2013). His policy research focuses on digital markets, regulation, and competition economics. He graduated in Economics at the University of Bonn in 1992. He also holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Bonn. In 2000, he was awarded the prestigious Heisenberg fellowship by the German Science Foundation (Deutsche Forschungs¬gemeinschaft).
