Description
Julián Peña is the partner in charge of the competition law practice of Allende & Brea in Argentina and is a professor at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella’s Masters on Law and Economics. He is also founder and moderator of ForoCompetencia (www.ForoCompetencia.com); Vice-Chair of the Antitrust Committee of the International Bar Association; Vice-Chair of the International Comments & Policy Committee of the Antitrust Law Section of the American Bar Association; and member of the Advisory Board of the Fordham Competition Law Institute and of the American Antitrust Institute. Julián has published the book Control de Concentraciones Económicas, co-edited the book Competition Law in Latin America: A Practical Guide, and has published many papers and given presentations on competition law around the world. Julián has been selected twice among the 40 best under-40 competition lawyers in the world by Global Competition Review and received Lexology's Client Choice Award for antitrust in Argentina, among other recognitions. Prior to joining Allende & Brea, Julián has been a legal advisor of two ministers of economy of Argentina and at the Argentine antitrust authority, among other positions.
