Advocating for Competitive Neutrality in Regulation and State Support

The workshop will provide an opportunity to participants to share experiences and discuss challenges and lessons learnt from their advocacy activities for maintaining competitive neutrality in the regulatory framework and in state support measures. Topics for discussion will include the impact of regulatory and policy reforms; monitoring and implementation; and leveraging past results to advocate for further reform.

Leveraging Behavioural Economics in Competition Enforcement

This interactive workshop focuses on what behavioural economics (BE) can teach us about the influence of consumer biases on decision-making and market dynamics, and how competition authorities can leverage BE in their own work. Through exploring various cases studies, participants will share experiences and gain insights on the relevance, timing, and application of BE to competition policy, including challenges and opportunities in their own contexts.
