Description
Soo Jin Kang is a professor of law at Korea University law school, Seoul, Korea. After graduating Seoul Nationl University with top of the class and obtaining Korean Bar, she worked as a prosecutor and private attorney for 15 years. She also worked as a director of litigation office at Korea Fair Trade commission. Based on her experience in criminal and competition law, she joined in academia in 2011 and has been teaching criminal law and procedure. Her recent research focuses on whether the procedural rights of defendants under the Constitution and crimal procedure law can be applied to administrative investigation procedure in Korea. She is currently a member of the Sentencing Commission of the Supreme Court of Korea. She received her bachelor's degree from Seoul National University College of Law and LL.M from Harvard Law School.
