Description
Stacy Feuer, the Assistant Director for International Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), has over two decades of experience in consumer protection policy and enforcement. She represents the U.S. and the FTC at the OECD and in other international organizations on consumer-related advertising, marketing, and data privacy issues involving new and emerging digital technologies. Stacy negotiated the 2015 United Nations guidelines on consumer protection and the 2016 OECD guidelines on consumer protection in e-commerce for the U.S. She leads the FTC’s ongoing enforcement cooperation work with foreign consumer protection, data privacy, and law enforcement counterparts, and coordinates the agency’s work on the U.S. SAFE WEB Act, legislation that enhances the FTC’s cross-border cooperation powers. Before joining the FTC, Stacy was a partner in a Washington-based international commercial litigation firm. She is a graduate of Cornell University and the New York University School of Law.
