Undersecretary of Consumer Defense and Fair Trade of Argentina since 10th December 2023. National Director for Consumer Defense (2016-2019).
Lawyer graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires, with a Postgraduate Degree from the University of Salamanca, Spain.
Professor of "Constitutional Law" at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires, and a visiting professor at the National University of CĆ³rdoba. Professor of Consumer Law at the postgraduate of the University of Palermo, the Catholic University of Argentina, the University of Business and Social Sciences and the University of Buenos Aires. Visiting speaker at the Faculty of Law of the University of the Republic (Uruguay) and at the University of Granada (Spain).
He was president of the consumer association āUnited Consumers of Argentinaā. He was a member of the Commission that developed the Draft Reform of Act 24.240 āConsumer Defenseā.
He was a consultant of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Participated in the 19th World Congress, organized by Consumers International in Hong Kong, China; he was a member of the group of experts at the Holding Broadband Service Providers to Account in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and was also a member of the Experts Committee of the āGlobal Programme on Access to Justice and Consumer Protectionā in New Delhi, India.
He chaired the Ibero-American Forum of Governmental Consumer Protection Agencies (FIAGC), the Management Committee of the Consumer Safety and Health Network (CSHN) of the OAS and the UNCTAD Intergovernmental Group of Experts. He represented Argentina (as observer) at the OECD Committee on Consumer Policy (CCP) and the Working Party on Consumer Product Safety (WPCPS). In 2018, he led the G20 Consumer Summit.
