Description

Mikko Holm is the Deputy Director General of the Department for Employment and Well-functioning Markets at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment Finland. The Department is responsible for, among other things, Finland's consumer policy, EU internal market policy, competition policy, employment policy and related legislation. Prior to his current position, Holm has served as a competitiveness counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Finland to the EU in Brussels (2014-2020). Previously, he has worked at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in various law drafting duties and other expert duties (2008-2014). In addition, he has previously worked for EU-Twinning in Armenia (2011-2012). He holds a master's degree in law. He served in district court as a junior judge in 2007-2008.
