Description

Ante Šušnjar was born on 27 January 1983 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is married and a father of three children. He graduated in 2006 from the Faculty of Law of the University of Split. Furthermore, he started his professional career as a trainee lawyer in the law firm Bogdanović, Doliči & partneri d.o.o. where he mainly represented foreign clients in the areas of corporate, banking and financial law, ownership and dispute resolution. In 2010 he became an independent lawyer and in 2012 he became a partner in the law firm Potočnjak & Šušnjar d.o.o. In addition to legal affairs, since 2020 he has been working as a bankruptcy administrator. During his career he devoted himself to representing domestic and foreign clients in the fields of commercial law, company law, labour law, real estate transactions and dispute resolution and arbitration. He was appointed Minister of the Economy in May 2024. Ante Šušnjar passed the Bar Exam in 2009 and the exam for a bankruptcy administrator in 2020 and has been registered in the Register of Lawyers of the Croatian Bar Association since 2010. He is fluent in English and German. Since 2020 he has been a member of the political party Domovinski pokret (DP), where he holds important functions as a member of the Presidency, the Committee and the Court of Honour.
