Description
Justin represents the constituency where he lives, Ellesmere Port and Bromborough. He studied law at the University of Sheffield and worked as a solicitor, specialising in employment law, before entering politics. He led the Labour opposition on Cheshire West and Chester Council and led the council of Ellesmere Port and Neston borough. He was elected to the UK parliament in the 2015 election as the MP for Ellesmere Port and Neston. Justin has held a number of shadow ministerial positions including, Shadow Minister for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Shadow Minister for Secondary Care, Workforce and Patient Health and Shadow Minister for Business, Employment Rights and Levelling Up. Justin was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Employment Rights, Competition and Markets) at the Department for Business and Trade on 9 July 2024
