Francisco Gamboa, Minister of Economy, Industry and Commerce, Costa Rica
Master in Economics, University of Costa Rica; Professional in Economics with experience in management of organizations, analysis of economic affairs and competitiveness, corporate relations, strategic communication and advice for decision making of Boards of Directors and international organizations, also has experience in coordinating multidisciplinary professional teams. Consultant for international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in the areas of international trade, among other economic issues. From 2006 to 2014 he was Director of Trade Intelligence at the Costa Rican Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER) and from 2015 to 2019 he served as Executive Director of the Costa Rican Chamber of Industries (CICR). From 2020 to 2022 he was the Manager of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability of Banco Nacional de Costa Rica. From 2008 until 2015 he was professor of International Economics in the Foreign Trade Career at the University of Costa Rica (UCR). Since 2014 he has been an instructor for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the International Trade Center (ITC) and the Distance Education Center for Economic and Technological Development Foundation (CEDDET) in several courses on performance measurement in organizations.
