Presentation
José is the Head of Reinsurance for Grupo Ageas Portugal. He is responsible for the placement of the reinsurance program of Ageas Portugal, for Non-Life, Life & Health. In addition, he is the President of the Technical Commission for Catastrophic Risks in the Portuguese Association of Insurers.
José liaises between reinsurers and various internal departments of the Group in order to implement new reinsurance solutions, new services or new products.
He joined Ocidental in 1996 and has held various management positions, in a number of areas of the group (claims, planning & control, balance scorecard, etc.). This includes having responsibility as General Manager of one of the subsidiary companies of Seguros e Pensões and Millenniumbcp in Mozambique.
He has a degree in Economics from Faculdade de Economia da Universidade do Porto and several Executive Education Programs (Centre for Creative Leadership, Brussels; Ashridge Business School, London and Duke Corporate Education / Ageas Academy, London).
