Soumita Chakraborty is a climate change professional, policy researcher and road safety advocate. Her work over the years has been focused on climate policy research and implementation of climate action plans. She is a member of the Global Youth Coalition of Road Safety and a former SDG Champion. She is the author of the policy brief on climate action and road safety: 'Safe Roads to A Climate-Proof Future', to be released soon. She has worked with the government of India on the cross-cutting issues of climate change, urban planning and disaster risk mitigation. Her current research involves the analysis of the EU energy transition strategy in congruence to sustainable transport policies.
