Ramya Sankaralingam joined Michelin as Auxiliary machine operator in February 2012. With her stitching skills, she prepared all the liners during Calendaring shop startup (calendaring is a process of creating products which are then used in building a part of a tire). Ramya is the first women Forklift operator in Calendaring shop, and she got polyvalent in CAL EB Loader post (CAL EB is a machine used in the manufacturing process of tires). Ramya was one of the key Quality Spoke in Michelin’s shop and taken initiative to create the Voice of Partner (VOP) to get feedback from internal customers on weekly basis and conducted Quality walk during non-production hours. Ramya was the First Women CAL EB Conductor to get validated. She has taken initiative to take Quality related action at business level-1 meetings and given 16 excellent Progress Ideas.
