Description
Fleur Francois is Manager Climate Change On-Farm and Inventory at the Ministry for Primary Industries in New Zealand. She was previously Director of the Measurement Standards Laboratory (MSL) of New Zealand and has over 15 years of experience in the public sector in a range of policy and operational leadership roles, including the Environmental Risk Management Authority, Ministry for the Environment, Ministry of Health, and Callaghan Innovation. Her policy work has spanned regulation of genetically modified organisms, marine environmental management, establishing the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), childhood obesity, developing New Zealand’s first social impact bond, and science and innovation. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry and previously worked on drug development for HIV and type 1 diabetes at Mt Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
