Description
Peter is the Director of Consumer Rights, Innovation & Impact at Consumers International, the umbrella organisation for consumer groups around the world. Consumers International works with UN institutions and others to build a safer, fairer and more sustainable marketplace for everyone. As part of the Leadership Team, he is responsible for developing and delivering innovative and impactful programmes on issues facing consumers related to sustainable consumption, food, energy, product safety as well as wider consumer insights. Prior to this he was Head of Sustainability Policy at the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and was responsible for the development and delivery of the industry's sustainable and ethical trade policies, including the Climate Action Roadmap for the retail sector. He is a Trustee of charity Focus on Labour Exploitation (FLEX) and has had additional external roles including Co-Chair of the UK Home Office's Modern Slavery Strategy and Implementation Group on Transparency in Supply Chains.
