Description
Kimiyo Hirowatari is a Manager in the Financial Planning Division at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Ltd (MHI). During her decade with MHI, Kimiyo led multiple significant M&A transactions in the Corporate Planning Department. She then moved on to the Global Finance Department, where she was actively involved in issuing corporate bonds, while also developing and managing relationships with commercial banks and Japan’s ECAs. For four years, she worked as the Head of Investors Relations, where she focused on communication with the capital markets as the company positioned the Energy Transition as a core growth area and declared its commitment to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2040. In addition to her current role in the Financial Planning Division, Kimiyo also serves as Project Director in the Growth Strategy Office, where her mission is to develop MHI’s electrification business, a key area of focus for the company’s initiatives in the area of Smart Infrastructure.
