Data are used to empower individuals, drive innovation and productivity growth, deliver new and innovative digital products and improve policymaking and public service delivery. Data can also be copied, combined and re-used to create value. But as data become more open and widely used, the risk of potential misuse and harm also grows.
This session will launch the main outputs of the third phase of the OECD Going Digital horizontal project on data governance for growth and well-being, and will provide a setting for high-level discussion of the issues, opportunities and trade-offs of data governance in the digital age.
