Keynote: Is the rapid digitalisation of public services compatible with digital security risk management?

Over the last few years, governments have accelerated the pace of their digitalisation. The COVID-19 crisis further increased the pressure on governments to rapidly develop and deploy new digital tools. Such tools include e-government services to pay taxes or obtain administrative documents, as citizens were often unable to access public services due to strict sanitary measures (e.g. lockdown, social distancing).
This keynote will discuss the lessons learned during the COVID-19 crisis, for instance:
• Did governments continue to manage digital security risk despite the urgent need to deploy digital government tools?
• How can the public sector adapt their digital security risk management processes to make them more agile and flexible?
• How could governments better manage digital security risk in future crises?
