Description
I am a senior fellow at the Israel Democracy Institute, an independent, non-partisan center of research and action dedicated to strengthening the foundations of Israeli democracy. I head IDI's Democracy in the Information Age Program, concentrating on four main areas: the information revolution, the surveillance revolution, the cyber revolution, and the artificial intelligence revolution.
I hold a Doctorate in Law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, completed my Post-Doctoral studies at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, and served as a Public Law Professor at the Federmann School for Public Policy at the Hebrew University for over a decade.
I have published several books, articles, and policy studies on Media Law and Policy, Privacy, Ethics in AI, Data Policy, and Social Networks. My new book, "Humans, Machines and the State: Regulating A.I. in Israel," was published in July 2023. In 2022 I was selected by the leading Israeli tech website Tech12 as one of the influential figures on tech policy in Israel.
