Description
Soumitra Dutta is a Professor of Management and the former founding dean of the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University, New York. He is the founder of the Global Innovation Index, published by WIPO, and the co-founder of the Global Information Technology Report, published by the World Economic Forum – two influential reports in technology and innovation policy. He is also the co-founder and President of Portulans Institute, a non-partisan nonprofit research and education institution based in Washington DC.
Mr. Dutta is on the global board of Dassault Systems and the shareholder council of ZS Associates. In addition, he is a member of the advisory boards of several international business schools including ESADE (Barcelona) and HEC Montreal. He is also a co-founder of and senior advisor to Green Frontier Capital, an early stage India focused VC fund on breakthrough technologies for climate change. In 2017, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from his alma mater IIT Delhi.
