Dr. Annika Wilmers is senior researcher at the DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education in Frankfurt. She focusses on projects in the field of societal transformations and the role of evidence-based education research. At DIPF, she coordinates the meta-project Digitalization in Education – a collaboration between four German research institutions – and is head of its working groups on research syntheses as well as of the interdepartmental working group on systematic reviews. In this area, she is particularly interested in adopting review methodology to heterogeneous, international and interdisciplinary research environments. Dr. Wilmers is a board member of the Nordic Journal for Systematic Reviews in Education and an active member of several professional organizations in this field. She is the author of various publications on the topic and recently co-edited a special issue of the Journal for Media Education on the methodology of research synthesis.
