About

Bill Lucas is Professor of learning and Director of the Centre for Real-World Learning at the University of Winchester. He is chair of the advisory committee of the PISA Creative Thinking Test, chairs the advisory board of the Global Institute of Creative Thinking and leads the peer learning network for England's Creativity Collaboratives. The model of creativity developed by BIll and colleagues at the University of Winchester is now used in more than 30 countries across the world. In 2019 Bill was co-author of the Durham Commission on Creativity and Education. In 2021 he co-founded Rethinking Assessment to help accelerate the shift towards strengths-based assessment in schools. Bill is a tireless education reformer and the author of more than 100 books and academic papers including, most recently, Creative Thinking in Schools: a leadership- playbook.
