This session explores how anti-corruption Collective Action initiatives serve as a vital catalyst for accelerating private sector contributions to sustainable development. Featuring insights from diverse industries and global experts, the discussion will highlight how fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration among businesses, governments, and civil society can reduce corruption risks, strengthen ethical practices and drive sustainable growth. The panel discussion will be framed within the Basel Institute’s recently updated Collective Action Typology. Case studies from engagement-focused Collective Actions and standard-setting initiatives from the renewable energy and metals technology sectors, alongside assurance-focused Collective Action providing certification, will illustrate strategies for creating an enabling environment for sustainable development.
