Description
Livia Sobota is a Brazilian career diplomat (Counselor), currently seconded as Secretary for Public Integrity. Previously, she was a Program Director at the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, as well as an advisor to the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and to the Office of the President’s Foreign Policy Unit. She contributed to structuring both units of the MFA in charge of global digital governance: the Information Society and the Cyber Defense and Security divisions. Her experience abroad includes being a negotiator at the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations in New York - where she represented Brazil at the governing bodies of agencies such as UNICEF, UNDP, UN Women, and UNFPA - and head of the International Cooperation Unit at the Brazilian Embassy in Colombia. She earned a law degree at the University of São Paulo, graduated at the Preparatory Course for the Diplomatic Career at Instituto Rio Branco, and was a World Fellow at Yale University.
