This session is organised by Open Government Partnership, Knowledge Partner of the virtual 2021 OECD Global Anti-Corruption & Integrity Forum. The language of this session is English. The session will highlight the experiences of Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries in dealing with Covid-19 in terms of funding spending, technical assistance, media and freedom of expression, private sector and investor relations. Monitoring of financial support from international financial organizations will be discussed. Thus, the issues of transparency, accountability, public participation, targeted use of funds to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are relevant. The pandemic is not over yet, and it is important for governments to learn from the mistakes of 2020, change their approaches. In 2021, the majority of EaP countries are developing new Open Government Partnership National Action Plans. This panel discussion will also serve as a platform to ideate possible new commitments that EaP countries could undertake to increase integrity in their Covid-19 spending and tracking. The session will be a source and contributions from the audience on Covid-related anti-corruption commitments that should be considered by EaP countries.
