Biography

Dr. Anastasia Sotiropoulou is a Special Legal Counsel to the Governor of the Hellenic National Transparency Authority. She is also a Lecturer at the American College of Greece - Deree College, at the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Business and Economics. She has served as consultant at the World Bank and as a Subject Matter Expert at Transparency International. She is an experienced attorney at law with a demonstrated history of working in the law practice industry. She is a graduate of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens from where she holds an LL.B. and LL.M. degree, as well as of Yale Law school from where she holds an LL..M. and a J.S.D. degree in the area of corruption and anti-corruption. Her research interests focus on the areas of corruption, crime and justice. She is the co-author of two publications with the Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative (WB-UNODC) and the author of various academic articles and chapters in edited volumes.
