Description
Cheyanne Scharbatke-Church is a scholar-practitioner with a lifelong interest in governance processes that have run amuck. As the Executive Director of Besa Global and the Co-Director of the Corruption, Justice and Legitimacy Program she leads a dynamic team that is using systems thinking to identify strategic leverage points for anti-corruption intervention; including the potential of social norms as a key to shift socially-embedded practices with a particular emphasis on adaptations necessary in fragile and conflict affected states. She has experience working in practice, research and evaluation capacities across the Balkans and West and East Africa on peacebuilding, governance and accountability issues. Living near the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Cheyanne can be found regularly shredding with her fierce daughters and gem of a husband.
