Description
Born in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, Minister of Ronald Lamola, holds a LLB from University of Venda, and Post Graduate Certificates in Telecommunications policy and banking law. He holds two Masters Degrees in corporate law and extractive law in Africa respectively from University of Pretoria.
He is the former deputy president of the ANC Youth League. He sits in two of African National Congress most powerful structures: the National Executive Committee and the National Working Committee. He was re-elected to the NEC at the December 2022 conference.
Ronald Lamola was appointed by President Cyril Ramaphosa as the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services of the Republic of South Africa on the 29th of May 2019.
