Description
Daniëlle Goudriaan was appointed by the Council of the EU as the Dutch European Prosecutor at the EPPO on the 27th of July 2020. She has 20 years of experience in the Dutch Prosecution service. Prior to joining the EPPO, she was the national coordinating prosecutor on corruption in the Netherlands at the National Prosecutor’s Office for Serious Fraud, Environmental Crime and Asset Confiscation. She was responsible for establishing the specialized corruption team for foreign and commercial bribery within the Dutch Prosecutor’s Office (DPO), and supervised and provided guidance to members of this team on individual cases.
As the national prosecutor on corruption, Mrs Goudriaan was also responsible for further professionalization and development of the specialism within the DPO, and was involved in developing policies in this field. Prior to this position, she had been a senior prosecutor for several years and had handled numerous complex fraud and corruption cases. She was also part of the Dutch delegation in the OECD Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions (WGB) for five years, a member of the Management Group of the WGB and Chair of the Meeting of the Law Enforcement Officials (WGB). As of January 2023 she is the Chair of the OECD WGB.
