Description
Kati Nyman serves as the Vice President and Head of Global Governmental Affairs and Country Coordination at Bayer AG, located at the company’s headquarters in Leverkusen, Germany. In this capacity, she leads Bayer’s global governmental affairs strategy and the company’s local public affairs activities worldwide.
Before assuming her current role in June 2023, Kati Nyman held the position of VP, Global Strategic Advocacy and Communications Lead at Bayer AG. She has also served as Bayer’s Head of Communications, Public Affairs, Science, and Sustainability in the Nordic Region, based in Finland (2019-2022).

She previously held roles as the Head of Governmental Affairs for Finland and the Baltics at Medtronic (2013-2015) and as Communications Director at Pharma Industry Finland (2009-2012), the trade association for innovative pharma.
Kati Nyman's career also includes serving as the Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Finland (2006-2009). From 1999 to 2006, she held positions such as Senior Public Affairs Consultant at Eurofacts Ltd, a Fleishman Hillard Company.
Additionally, she has held various positions of trust in national and international associations, including serving as a Member of the Board at ProCom, the association for communication professionals in Finland.
Kati Nyman holds an MSc degree in International Politics and Diplomacy from Tampere University, Finland.
