Description
Cynthia Muffuh is an international development specialist with over 20 years’ experience leading global programming in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Throughout her career she has worked with the private sector, non-profit, governments and intergovernmental organizations on complex global issues with a special focus on social sustainability. Most recently she joined the UN Global Compact Office in March 2022 as the Head of Human Rights and Gender. Where she led the human rights and gender work which focused on supporting business align their strategies and operations with the Ten Principles, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 in the areas of human rights and gender. She is currently Senior Advisor, Regional Programming – Africa at the UN Global Compact. Cynthia holds various advisory roles including being a member of the World Commerce and Contracting Foundation Board of Directors
She is a dual qualified legal practitioner with a focus on International Human Rights Law. She is married with 2 children.
