Cornell University’s Jason Judd and Schroders’ Stephanie Williams share new quantitative findings on impacts of intense flooding and extreme heat in 2030 and 2050 in global apparel/footwear production. Irina van der Sluijs of Robeco and PLWF will respond to the findings and discuss them through a living wages lens. Analyses include export earnings and employment losses due to productivity ‘headwinds’ and dramatic disruptions for workers, employers, their governments and brands. Actions for institutions at every level are set out.
