Description
Organised by: Baptist World Aid Australia and Tearfund New Zealand
Through ten years of advocacy, action, awareness-raising and holding companies to account, Baptist World Aid and Tearfund have partnered to facilitate systemic change in the fashion industry in Australia and New Zealand.
This session will explore the role civil society plays in creating change in fashion supply chains through partnership and research-driven advocacy, featuring the cornerstone campaign, the Ethical Fashion Project.
Joined by Professor Alice Payne, and modern slavery and sustainability consultant, Gary Shaw (former Social Impact Manager for KMD Brands), attendees are invited to participate in a robust panel discussion about the wins and challenges of collaboration to transform the fashion industry’s impact, and the shifting role of civil society.
