Description
Sophie Lavaud is a policy analyst in the OECD Environment Directorate’s Climate Change Adaptation team. She leads work on climate adaptation to water scarcity, rural fire prevention in Portugal and building climate resilient infrastructure. Prior to joining the OECD, Sophie was a policy advisor and economist in the French Treasury on multilateral financing of development and climate and contributed to define French strategies in this regard. She also worked in large commercial banks where she managed a team in charge of risks assessment such as climate risks and its impacts for the financial sector. Sophie holds an MSc in Environmental Policy from the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po Paris and an MSc in Applied Statistics and Economics from ENSAE Paris Tech.
