Description

Laila is the author of the UNEP sustainable and circular roadmap for textiles, former Co-Chair of the UNFCCC Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, and was the technical lead for the WWF and Google Global Fibre Impact Explorer. As the climate delivery partner for the Fashion Pact, Laila has developed leading projects including the CVPPA renewable energy project and the Unlock programme for low climate impact and regenerative cotton. Laila was formerly the Textiles Global Lead for WWF International. She is also now the DG of Future Earth Lab, which is focussing on decarbonisation and climate adaptation solutions for the private sector.
