Description

Irina van der Sluijs, Senior Engagement Specialist Irina van der Sluijs is an Engagement Specialist with a focus on Portfolio Engagement (SDGs and Fashion) and sovereign engagement. She started out as an advocate for press freedom at World Press Photo in 2002, continued as a policy advisor for the Dutch government and the OECD. As a freelance consultant she helped clients implement guidelines for responsible business. Irina landed in sustainable finance, first at the Dutch ASN Bank, then at NN Investment Partners and Goldman Sachs where she developed Responsible Investment Policies, interacted with clients and engaged on living wage, modern slavery, deforestation and DEI. For two years Irina chaired the Platform Living Wage Financials (PLWF). She holds a Master's in international Relations from the University of Amsterdam and a certificate from the Cambridge Sustainable Leadership Programme.
